Career´s Expo 


Last night which was the 29th of August, we had the Career´s Expo night, where we come and take a look and chat with the teachers who teach the different departments about what they do in that subject so that we can get a clear mindset of what subjects we want to take. It is really important for us because we are heading to NCEA next year and we need to make sure we pick the right subjects which we know about and the subjects that we know is most suitable for us as individuals. 

The highlight for me last night was getting to see all the different departments and what they teach and I think that it was really useful for me personally, mainly because of the fact that we are weeks away from Jumpstart, it's getting more freakier and scarier knowing that we are just weeks away from selecting our subjects and just weeks away from actually starting NCEA.

The department that I think stood out the most or the department that I think really presented their subject was Social Science. Why? Because they had great presentation skills, great communication skills and also they had a positive attitude in presenting and showing off the things that they do best, which is Social Science. But overall it was a great night and thanks to Ms Bailey and staff for setting this up for us students to come and actually speak with the teacher front to front! It was a great afternoon.

When her dad passed away because of cancer her life changed heaps,she wasn’t use to her mother because her mother goes to work and comes back home at 11pm at night and she never spends time with her and they never get along. They started being best friends and one day her best friend came over and asked her if she could play one day and her mother said no because she had to finish off her homework. Reflection About 2015

2015 “Wow! This has been an AMAZING year” I have loved being a student at Pt England School. The reason why I love Pt England is because it has such nice teachers and also students. 2015 has been a memory that I will never forget. We have had lots of fun activities this year and fun trips too & I am going to miss the year 8’s next year. This year I have felt Happy at times and at other times I am sad. Whenever I play with my friends I get sad because we might not be in the same class next year & also the year after. The year has been cool and fun cause our lovely team 5 teachers have planned fun activities for us,  even when we are naughty we always get a second chance but sometimes we don’t get that second chance.
