ICT ACCENTURE TRIP

Accenture Trip

Today, the 26th of September we went to the Accenture which is held in Auckland City. Even though I have never heard or have never been there, just by the information that Mrs Anderson told us about, I knew that we would have a great time!

Okay, so today we went to Accenture. For me personally just arriving in Town and seeing the building I did not want to go inside because I thought that we were going to go all the way up, but lucky we only went to Level 12. When we arrived into the building we met Daniel, Bryce, Jess, Sed, Luke and many other amazing workers of Accenture. I think my experience this whole day was totally different and exciting at the same time. Even though I knew nothing about coding or IT, they explained everything and they also offered help which was lovely.

Overall today was amazing, learning new things such as coding, virtual reality things and many more cool things. I think my favourite part of the trip was just getting to know more about Digital Technology and the uses and just knowing that you can do more things with IT and it's not just coding and playing games. So my favourite part of today was learning different things and exploring the Virtual Reality Game.

I think some of the career opportunities that I learnt today was becoming a Technology worker, for example the kind of job that Raj does. Where he fixes netbooks and stuff like that. Another career opportunity that I learnt about at Accenture was Computer Developer, the person who mainly works mainly with the computer industry and then the last one that I heard was IT Manager, this is the person who is just like a boss but not really. The IT Manager is someone that managers things about IT and just see's if everything's going smoothly.

Thankyou to Accenture for this amazing day, thanks for their hospitality and amazing help! Also big thanks to Ms Anderson and Mr Mansell who came along and witnessed this amazing adventure with us! I definitely enjoyed today! Here are some photo's of today's trip to Accenture :)

  1. Hi May - Glad you enjoyed it and thanks for coming. The exciting thing for me about VR is that is a used for more than just gaming, such as training doctors, helping design buildings and learning how to deal with different situations.
    Thanks - Mark
