We have been studying Kawau Island because tomorrow we are headed for Kawau Island for our camp. We had to study to learn more about where we are going and what we are going to do their.

Well let me begin my story at home. I was sleeping when my mum said to me “ May are you going to stay home because you aren't going to camp” and I said to her “ Mum I thought I was going to camp” and she said “ Oh I forgot to tell you I rang and said you aren't going to camp” I got so angry that I went for a walk and I didn't go to school the whole week. The time I went for a walk I went at like 11.00 and I came back at 12.30 , it was a nice walk but boring so I went home early.

The boringest week of my life! Last week I had the boringest week of my life , it was fun and boring at the same time. The last few weeks were the last games,for the year ones to eight teams. The Prize Giving is not far away until they start. Prize Giving has already started for the year 6 team 1. They had their Prize Giving on September the 2nd at the AMI Netball courts.The time it started was 4.30 sharp but they went at the courts at 4.15. I can’t wait for my teams Prize Giving. New fashion for intermediate kids Pt England School May Breaking news the Pt England School year 6’s are moving to the black and red zip up jackets. It is more mature for them. Mrs Flavelle has said “We have the different option, it’s just so you can distinguish the senior children from everybody else”. 98% have brought the jackets. It is nearly about every single kid The kids at Pt England School think that it is a great idea and that it is more mature for them because they are going to be year 7 & 8’s and so they don't have to wear the same jacket,because it will make them look like little kids. The cost of the senior jackets are $55 dollars. It is more expensive than the year 1 to 6 jumpers. The cost for the senior girls culottes are $56 dollars but it is also cheap and not really expensive. Hi my name is May and this week we have been reading a book called Farming Fish. It is a really cool book if you read it it explains a boy that had a uncle and his uncle had an idea and it was to make a Farming Fish. They usually go out to sea on their canoes and catch some fish if it is good weather,but when it is bad weather and the sea is really rough to go on they don't have any food to eat,so they wait for the next day. They usually don't go to the shops because they are use to going fishing and at their village there is hardly any shops. The uncle idea was to make a Farming Fish,as I was trying to say his uncle was making another place to go fishing so they can get fish like everyday. Here is a picture of the place close to it. Fish farms are important to the village because that is how they can have food everyday and so they don't have to starve and they can just go and catch some fish if the sea is bad and so they can have their own place to fish.

This is my Diamond or Diamante poem that describes War. We have been learning about how some soldiers from New Zealand went to war to save us from getting kicked out of our places or countries and so they can't destroy our homes. It was 4.00 in the morning and I woke up and it was still dark,all I heard was birds chirping and inside it was freezing like ice. I was shivering like if I was in Antarctica. Holiday Writing On a sunny,sunny day I woke up and I nearly got dressed for school but then I remembered that there was no more school so I went back into bed because I was so tired and then I heard my mum say to me “wake up and tidy up the room” and I replied “but I am so tired” then she came back in the room and she pulled my blanket off and  she told me to stand up or she will make me stand up. This is the Moa's movie that we made with Mr Somerville. As you can see that our WALT is based on adding detail at the beginning and the end of a sentence. It helped us a lot not cause Mr Somerville helped us but because we worked together as a team and created an amazing sentence.

You will never believe what I am doing on this very,very sunny day, Well do you wanna know cause I know you do, well on this sunny day we were having the year 5 and 6 Camp for 2014. The most thing I like out of all the activity's that we have done is Kayaking. Kayaking was my favourite because Mr Burt and the Helpers were really nice and they let us have lots of turns then they let us have a swimming time.  The first time me and Paris went into that Kayak it was cold and a little bit dirty but it was awesome at the same time. Then me and Paris finished our turn and we all moved to the free swimming it was a little fun but some of us got hurt by the rocks and the stuff under water and also it was fun at the same time.  This years Camp is really cool because we also get to do a permanences and backing that is why I like it a lot and we sleep in very expensive tents and it is cool for all of us!!! I LOVE THIS CAMP!!!!!...

Well , that was a sad weekend. It all begins at my home sweet home. After school I walked with Finau back home and when we got there she went home and I went home as well because we live straight across each other. The time that I arrived home I had to get dressed because we were going to my Uncle's funeral and it was at Onehunga. The time we got there I felt like crying because I saw my Uncles lying down and it was really sad because it was my dads Uncle. Then the service began and we all sat down and they brang my Uncle in the church and the pastor was beginning the service with a prayer and we all bowed our heads like what we do at school at assembly. Then they lifted my Uncle one the stole thing that you put them on and people come with the flowers and they put it next to the coffin box.
